WetterCubePlus, Fusion and Next go open source

The source code of WetterCubePlus, Fusion and Next is now public on GitHub, under the Apache License 2.0. The first WetterCube stays under the MIT licence.

What this means

  • You can view, use, modify and share the source code, also commercially.
  • Private use stays free, as before.
  • The name and logos of “WetterCube” are not licensed; texts and images stay under CC BY-NC 4.0.
  • The free weather interface of Open-Meteo is meant for non-commercial use only; anyone using it commercially needs a licence from them.
  • Contributions are welcome: bugs, wishes and pull requests on GitHub.

The repositories: Fusion · Next · WetterCubePlus · WetterCube. How to build the firmware yourself is in the README and in the wiki. Important: the Fusion is only reliably supported on the named Waveshare boards, the Next only on the described CYD.
